Even the freewheel, one of the most fundamental bicycle technologies, has been re-evaluated and improved on the Factor 001. The integrated free hub uses a silent, lag-free clutch system that is stronger than the conventional ratchet and pawl design and which provides faster engagement in the transition between coasting and pedalling.
